  11. PROBLEM:       Several customers have reported being unable to use the
  12.                Advanced FastRam board.  The failure has been isolated to a
  13.                Improperly programmed smart switch device on the FastRam card
  14.                (IC U65 107000-642).
  15.  
  16. SYMPTOM:       The Advanced FastRam is not being seen by the FastRam
  17.                software.  The machine boots, but the I/O and starting address
  18.                is not recognized by the Configuration Utility software
  19.                (910314-301 revision A).
  20.  
  21. AFFECTED
  22. SYSTEMS:       Advanced FastRam card with the following part number:

  24.                202253-001 or 500565-001
  25.  
  26. SOLUTION:      Any customers reporting this problem should contact their
  27.                local AST Service Center to have the defective IC,
  28.                (107000-642B) replaced.
